On 17 November 2017, director Harry Gras was awarded the NCCC Business of the Year Award on behalf of the NCCC (Netherlands-Canada Chamber of Commerce).

Summary of the NCCC:

“Congratulations to Houtimport Gras, winner of this years NCCC Business of the Year Award. The Award was presented to Harry Gras by H.E. Ambassador Nolke during the NCCC Annual Luncheon on 17th November.
Houtimport Gras is a family owned company of which there are now 6 generations (Harry being the 5th).The company started with 2 windmills to saw logs, but since 1917 they have focused on trade. They import softwood from Canada, including Western Red Cedar (BC). Although the majority of their timber comes from Canada, they also import from Scandinavia, Germany and the Baltic States, and more recently, a small amount from Russia. Earlier this year, Harry was also awarded to the ‘Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau’ because of a lifetime of promoting the trade of national and international timber and advancing the use of sustainably produced wood.”
